How it started
Together with Natalie Lock, Neil Lock founded Zinn Hub, and he leads the business as CEO. As a developer, he built the marketplace's platform too. Behind it are more than 25 years of building software, search and hosting.
Why it exists
Zinn Hub was built around one aim: freelancing that is fairer to sellers and to buyers. In practice: 0% commission for sellers to start, more of the money kept by the person doing the work, and vetted sellers plus a responsive team for buyers.
What he built
Neil made language a non-issue: 46 languages across listings, briefs, messages and reviews, translated both ways, with live calls carried by captions or a spoken translated voice. There are six payout methods, crypto included, and payouts through a seller's own Stripe or PayPal are instant. On the trust side, sellers are vetted and KYC-verified and platform payments are held in escrow. Buyers can post a project and let sellers pitch, or book a free Zinn® Concierge call in which Neil scopes the work with them and finds the right seller.
Milestones
