How it started

Zinn Hub was co-founded by Natalie Lock and Neil Lock, who share a life as well as a business. Their partnership goes back a long way: they met at school and have shared more than thirty years since. Neil has written that he talks the bigger things through with Natalie before deciding, and that she is a great part of what helps him do his best work.

Why it exists

What the founders wanted was simple to say: freelancing that is fairer for everyone in it. On the selling side, freelancers keep more of their earnings and get room to build a real brand. And a buyer gets vetted sellers, real advice and a team behind the marketplace that responds.

What Zinn Hub became

As far as its founders know, Zinn Hub is the first freelance marketplace where two people who share no language at all can find each other, agree the work, talk it through live and get it delivered. It works in 46 languages, translating listings, briefs, messages and reviews in both directions. What people buy there is digital work: SEO, web design, content writing and more. Vetted sellers, instant payouts and payment by card or crypto are part of the everyday running of it.

Milestones

In 2026 Zinn Hub received two awards: UK Freelance Marketplace of the Year 2026 from 365 Awards, and Best Multilingual Freelance Marketplace in the United Kingdom of 2026 from Best of Best Review.
