Can I get a free Redis database without signing up?
Yes. You can send a POST request to https://upstash.com/start-redis and get a free Redis database instantly with no signup, credit card, or API key required. The database is deleted after 3 days unless you claim it into your account.
What is included in the free tier?
The free tier includes 256MB data size and 500K commands per month.
How does pay-as-you-go pricing work?
Pay-as-you-go pricing charges $0.20 per 100K commands, $0.25 per GB for storage (first 1GB free), and free bandwidth up to 200GB per month, then $0.03 per additional GB. You can set a maximum monthly budget to avoid unexpected charges.
What is included in Prod Pack?
Prod Pack includes uptime SLA, SOC 2 Type 2 report, advanced monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog, multi-zone high availability, and encryption at rest for $200/month per database.
How many databases can I create?
You can create up to 10 databases for free. Beyond that, you are charged $0.5 per database up to 100 databases. For more than 100 databases, contact support.
